In these images I took screenshots in World of Warcraft and Skyrim wich resembled places in reality. I put them in contrast with each other. The baseline of my project is: “Graphics look better in real life” which these images show in a simple way. They are also used on the cover of my masterpublication.
In this GIF I tested the movement, opacity and form of the interface. At first I experimented with hexagons to display the different tabs used in the interface. Later on in the project I moved on to using circles, which would refer less to augmented reality projects since the hexagons are over-used in a lot of augmented reality projects.
You can also see the research for symbols in this GIF. This GIF shows my differents professions, which I called ‘skills’ later on in the project.
In these games I studies the opacity and the speed and rythm that my base menu symbols would pop up on screen. I divided my base menu in 6 main elements: skills, backpack, mental, physical, gear and traits. All these different tabs are each divided in smaller tabs. For example: skills is divided in my main talents which are soccer, tennis, graphic design and cooking.
